Metals
The metals industry creates some of the most thermally demanding environments with molten metal temperatures over 3000°F (1650°C). Ensuring worker safety and equipment longevity are key priorities, and Davlyn Group’s thermal protection solutions have been trusted by foundrymen and manufacturers for decades. Our silicone-coated fiberglass firesleeves, tapes, ropes, and fire blankets offer protection against molten metal splashes and other extreme service conditions in the metals industry.

Materials & Products
Davlyn Group silicone-coated fiberglass firesleeves, tapes, and ropes deflect molten metal splashes around furnace hoses and cables while providing constant radiant heat protection up to 500°F/260°C. Our Silco Shield® fire blanket can be used to protect larger areas from molten splash and damaging radiant heat. For higher operating temperatures and applications where molten splash is not a primary concern, we offer a range of uncoated fiberglass, basalt, silica, and ceramic cloths, sleeves, tapes, and ropes. Davlyn Group also provides a full range of gaskets made from high-temperature textiles as well as compressed non-asbestos materials, PTFE, laminate graphite, spiral wound, metal, and rubber.
