Silco Shield® firesleeve with hook and loop closure is made of high-quality fiberglass yarns woven in a flexible substrate and coated with a high-grade silicone rubber designed to protect hoses and cables from the hazards of high heat continuously up to 500°F (260°C) and occasional molten splashes at 2200°F (1200°C). Its hook and loop closure allows installation in-situ without the need to dismantle and reconnect fittings or terminations, enabling easy retrofits into existing systems and repairs in tight spaces that avoid costly downtime and minimize installation labor. Resistant to hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, and fuels, our high-temperature firesleeve insulates against energy loss in piping and hosing, protects employees from burns, and shields cables and hoses from molten metal splashes and heavy sparks. Metal turnbuckles and snaps are also available as alternatives to the hook and loop closure.
