Tetraglas®, Tetraglas 3000®, and Ceramic Ropes

Our high-temperature fiberglass, silica, and ceramic ropes offer unique physical characteristics and levels of sealing performance for boiler, oven, and stove seals. They can also be utilized for high-temperature industrial packing and expansion joints. Even at elevated temperatures, our fiberglass, silica, and ceramic ropes are resistant to most acids and alkalis.

More Information

Tetraglas® Fiberglass Rope

Tetraglas® rope is constructed of high-quality E-glass fiberglass yarns and remains highly flexible and conformable at continuous operating temperatures up to 1000°F (540°C). Our fiberglass rope is available in knitted soft and dense, twisted, and square braided rope forms. Most Tetraglas® ropes can be coated with vermiculite, PTFE, or graphite, and a stainless steel wire mesh jacket can be added to increase abrasion resistance.

Tetraglas 3000® Silica Rope

Tetraglas 3000® rope is constructed of amorphous silica yarns. Our silica rope is available in knitted, twisted, and square braided rope forms. Tetraglas 3000® rope will not burn and is suitable for use in continuous temperatures to 1800°F (980°C).

Ceramic Rope

Ceramic fiber rope supports the highest continuous operating temperature at 2300°F (1260°C). Our ceramic fiber rope possesses excellent chemical stability as well as strong corrosion and thermal shock resistance. It’s available in knitted, twisted, and square braided rope forms.
