Woven sleeving is manufactured in two styles. The Series 400 sleeving is composed of a para-aramid (Kevlar®) blend fiber wrap spun over fiberglass core yarn. Series 1200 is composed of high temperature FR fiber and cardable glass fiber wrap spun over a fiberglass core yarn. Excellent for applications requiring both abrasion resistance and fire protection such as cable and wire protection.
TWISTED ROPE AND WICK
Twisted rope is twisted strands of soft, pliable fibers that provide a general utility product with varied industry applications. Rope is formed by twisting two or more bound strands of wick into a flexible, resilient packing for use where a thicker material is desired.
Braided packing comes in two varieties. One is a braided Norfab jacket over a Norfab core for lighter weight, greater flexibility, and resiliency. The second is a Norfab jacket over a fiberglass core for added strength and firmness. Applications include gasketing, compression packing, and fire props.
Series 400 braided sleeving is manufactured in one style and two wall thicknesses. It is composed of a para-aramid blend fiber wrap spun over fiberglass core yarn. Excellent for applications requiring both abrasion resistance and fire protection such as cable and wire protection.
SERIES 400 TAPE
Norfab Series 400 Tapes are carefully woven and sized using a para-aramid (Kevlar®) blend fiber wrap spun over fiberglass core yarn. Applications include lagging, pipe insulation, and gasketing. In addition, Series 400 Tapes are the preferred choice for the world’s leading fire prop companies, given their ability to hold fuel while also being abrasion resistant.
SERIES 400 CORD
Cord may be used as tie-down cables in motors and generator armatures, for gasketing, insulation on glass handling equipment, and as seals in metal gaskets and flexible hose. For increased strength and temperature resistance, Norfab cord may be supplied with a brass wire insert.
